Accessibility

Our approach

We aim to use semantic HTML, visible focus states, keyboard-operable navigation, labelled forms, responsive layouts and reduced-motion alternatives. Automated source and route checks support this work, but they do not replace testing with disabled people and assistive technologies.

Motion and media

Decorative animation is disabled or simplified when reduced motion is requested. Important information does not depend on animation.

Images and alternatives

Editorial images are either decorative or include descriptive alternative text. Interface controls use accessible names so they can be understood without relying on visual appearance alone.

To report an accessibility issue, email contact@programmers-house.com or use the contact form. Include the page, task, device, browser and assistive technology involved where possible.

Ongoing review

Accessibility should be reviewed as the website evolves through automated checks, keyboard testing, zoom and reflow testing, responsive testing and assistive-technology checks.

A complete manual keyboard, screen-reader and production-browser review has not yet been recorded. Until that review is complete, undiscovered barriers may remain. Reported issues will be assessed and prioritised according to their effect on completing the task.
